Diploma and certificate nostrification is the process of recognizing documents from foreign countries regarding secondary, higher, and postgraduate education. The procedure involves the recognition of these documents as legitimate by the appropriate authorities in the territory of the state where the document was obtained.
Nostrification in different countries goes through similar stages:
- Confirmation of the diploma or certificate at the educational institution.
- Confirmation in the relevant ministry.
As a rule, the procedure takes about a month.
For Transnistrian higher education institutions and special secondary educational institutions, unfortunately, the procedure is complicated. To recognize these diplomas, an examination by the appropriate higher education institution in Moldova is required. After determining the differences in the curriculum, exams are assigned for subjects that are not included in the curriculum of the Transnistrian higher education institution but are part of the Moldovan educational program. Only then is the above-described procedure carried out.
For an example of the difference in exams, see below. The Faculty of Psychology at Tiraspol University… It turned out to be easier than the client thought and feared. Instead of 5 exams – there were essays… As it turned out, there are also understanding people in Moldovan higher education institutions…
5 exams replaced by essays…
If you need to provide your diploma abroad, you must affix an apostille to the diploma or legalize it at the relevant consulate of the state where it needs to be submitted.
