The Government of Moldova on June 11, 2026 adopted Decision No. 309, which initiated negotiations and approved the signing of the Agreement with Tunisia on the abolition of the visa regime for holders of diplomatic, service and special passports. The document stipulates that after the completion of negotiations and the signing of the agreement, citizens of both countries holding the said passports will be able to enter the territory of the other state without obtaining visas. The decision enters into force on the date of its publication in the Official Monitor of Moldova. The negotiations are entrusted to the authorized bodies, and the agreement itself, after signing, will be submitted for ratification in the established procedure.
