The Parliament of Moldova adopted Law No. 98 on the ratification of Amendment No. 1 to the credit agreement with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for the project “Moldova Roads Rehabilitation V”. The document was signed in Chișinău on December 19, 2025, and amends the original agreement of January 22, 2024. The law obliges the government to take the necessary measures to fulfill the terms of the agreement, the Ministry of Justice to submit a legal opinion to the EBRD, and the Ministry of Finance to notify the bank of the ratification. The law enters into force on the date of its publication in the “Official Monitor”. The project aims to restore and modernize the country’s road network, which is of strategic importance for the economy and business.
