On June 11, 2026, the Government approved the draft law on the ratification of the Second Additional Protocol to the Council of Europe Convention on Cybercrime. The document has been submitted to the President for consideration. The Protocol, signed in Strasbourg on May 12, 2022, strengthens cooperation and simplifies the cross-border disclosure of electronic evidence. The decision was made based on the Law on International Treaties. Implementation of the Protocol will allow law enforcement agencies to more effectively investigate cybercrimes affecting businesses and citizens.
