The Government approved the Regulation defining the forms of financial guarantees for environmental damage. The document was adopted in implementation of Law No. 107/2025 on environmental liability and enters into force upon publication in the Official Monitor (June 18, 2026). Operators conducting activities according to Annex No. 1 to the Law on Industrial Emissions are required to conduct an environmental risk assessment within six months after the regulation enters into force. Control over the implementation of the decision is assigned to the Ministry of Environment.
