The Parliament of the Republic of Moldova adopted Decision No. 105 on the establishment of an investigative commission to investigate telephone, financial and digital fraud. The commission is tasked with assessing the effectiveness of existing measures to prevent and combat such crimes. The commission includes 11 deputies representing different parliamentary factions: Lilian Carp from PAS was appointed chairman, and Alexandru Chițu from “Democracy at Home” was appointed secretary. The commission also includes representatives of the Bloc of Communists and Socialists, “Alternativa” and “Our Party”. The decision is based on Articles 66 and 73 of the Constitution and the Parliament’s Rules of Procedure.
