Orange Moldova, the largest mobile operator in the Republic of Moldova, announced yesterday the purchase of all shares of Sun Communications. The corresponding share acquisition agreement has already been signed and is awaiting approval from the country’s competition council.
Orange Moldova acquired 100% of Sun Communications’ shares in order to develop the market in the Republic of Moldova. The company’s main goal is to introduce a service that includes mobile and fixed telephony, as well as television.
Sun Communications was founded in 1994. Its services are used by nearly 100,000 people. It provides customers with internet, television, and landline telephone services.
