- Subject: procedure for low-value procurement
- Actors: Government of Moldova (issuer)
The Government of the Republic of Moldova approved Decision No. 312, introducing a number of changes to the Regulation on low-value procurement. The document, in particular, replaces the outdated designation “leu” with “MDL” and updates references to the new Law on Public Procurement No. 325 of 2025. The threshold for low-value procurement has been increased from 50,000 to 100,000 lei — contracts up to this amount may now be concluded under a simplified procedure. For procurements valued from 100,000 to 250,000 lei (for goods and services) and up to 400,000 lei (for works and social services), the rights of contracting authorities to conclude contracts are detailed. The adjustments harmonize the subordinate legislation with the updated legislation and are expected to simplify the participation of small businesses in public procurement.
