The Government of the Republic of Moldova intends to collect additional funds from economic agents if the name of an enterprise, company, or firm contains the official or historical name of the state (Republic of Moldova).<\/p>\n
This initiative came from the Ministry of Justice. The right to use the country’s name in a company’s title will be granted by the government. Only if the government permits an economic agent to use the name “Republic of Moldova” in the company name will they be required to pay a single fee of 100 thousand lei. Economic agents who do not pay the fee will be fined 400 lei and permanently deprived of the right to use the country’s name. Permission to use the state’s name will be issued for a long period of time.<\/p>\n
How this new measure will affect entrepreneurs and their activities is not yet clear. It is obvious that the costs associated with the name will increase several times over.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
