If it refers to other documents or appendices, they must be included.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Which documents are not subject to legalization?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The following documents do not need to be legalized for use in the Netherlands.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Multilingual extract from an archival civil status record:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Multilingual extracts do not need to be translated or legalized for use in the Netherlands,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A multilingual extract is a standard form in several languages, including English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>You can request multilingual extracts from the following types of records:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>birth certificates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>marriage certificates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>divorce certificates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>death certificates<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p><strong><em>To use a multilingual extract in Aruba, Cura\u00e7ao, Sint Maarten, Bonaire, Saba, or Sint Eustatius, you must have it legalized.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Certificates\/declarations of legal capacity<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a multilingual standard form for the certificate stating that you are permitted to marry (certificate\/declaration of legal capacity).
