Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Moldova in 2012<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 2012, exports of goods from Moldova<\/strong> amounted to 2,161.8 million US dollars.<\/p>\n

Export deliveries to European Union countries<\/strong> totaled 1,013.4 million US dollars.<\/p>\n

CIS countries<\/strong> accounted for 43% of Moldova’s exports.<\/p>\n

In 2012, imports<\/strong> amounted to 5,213.1 million US dollars. Imports from Europe increased, while imports from CIS countries decreased slightly.<\/p>\n

Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Moldova in 2013<\/strong><\/p>\n

The National Bureau of Statistics reports that in December 2013, goods worth<\/strong> 202.1 million US dollars were exported<\/strong>, which is 20.0% less than in the previous month and 7.9% more compared to December 2012.<\/p>\n

Export deliveries to European Union countries amounted to $790.4 million (9.6% more than in January-September 2012). The share of Moldova’s exports to CIS countries was 40.1%, amounting to $689.7 million. Exports of goods to these countries increased by 3.4% compared to January-September 2012.<\/p>\n

Import deliveries from European Union countries amounted to $1,776.2 million, or 44.7% of total imports (January-September 2013).<\/p>\n

Goods worth $1,207.8 million were imported from CIS countries (3.2% more than in January-September 2012), accounting for 30.4% of total imports (31.3% in January-September 2012).<\/p>\n

Foreign Economic Activity of the Republic of Moldova in January-September 2014<\/strong><\/p>\n

The National Bureau of Statistics reports that in September 2014, goods worth<\/strong> 184.9 million US dollars were exported<\/strong>, which is 4.9% more than in the previous month and 6.2% less compared to September 2013.<\/p>\n

In January-September 2014, exports amounted to 1,737.7 million US dollars, which is 0.2% less than in the corresponding period of 2013.<\/p>\n

Export deliveries to European Union countries (EU-28)<\/strong> amounted to 904.8 million US dollars (14.9% more than in January-September 2013), or 52.1% of total exports (45.2% in January-September 2013).The share of CIS countries<\/strong> accounted for 32.8% of Moldova’s exports (in January-September 2013 \u2013 39.6%), which corresponds to 569.8 million US dollars. Exports of goods to these countries decreased by 17.3% compared to January-September 2013.<\/p>\n

In September 2014, goods worth<\/strong> 458.9 million US dollars were imported, which is 11.1% more than in the previous month and 0.7% more compared to September 2013.<\/p>\n

In January-September 2014, imports amounted to 3,865.8 million US dollars, which is 2.6% less than in the same period of 2013.<\/p>\n

Import supplies from European Union countries (EU-28)<\/strong> amounted to 1,912.9 million US dollars (7.7% more than in January-September 2013) or 49.5% of total imports (44.7% in January-September 2013).<\/p>\n
